    The Renaissance Platinum System
    April 2nd 2013​

    Starting with patch 35 players will be able to purchase items using the platinum coins that have been slowly introduced to the world. Unlike literally all other free UO shards, rather than sell these coins to our players, we are allowing our players to find them in a variety of ways by playing. Renaissance will never have a donation shop or sell items or advancement to our players.

    Players can earn platinum coins in a variety of ways.
    • Champions
      • As a reward for defeating the various champions(Live!)
      • As a reward for defeating the harrower(Live!)
      • As a reward for defeating the champions defenders (Live!)
    • Hunting
      • As a rare drop from most monsters, depending on difficulty. (Live!)
      • As a common drop from boss monsters. (Live!)
      • As an uncommon drop from various events (Live!)
    • Rewards
      • As a reward for winning a tournament (Live!)
      • Leading your team in a capture the flag match (Patch 41+)
      • Winning or placing in the various server wide events. (Live!)
      • Winning or placing in various player run events.(Live!)
      • Winning an automated scavenger hunt. (Patch 41+)
      • Winning a holiday event (Patch 41+)
    • Fishing
      • As a common drop during an ancient mib event. (Live)
      • As an uncommon drop in level 3 MIB chests (Live!)
    • Dungeoneering
      • A common chance in a level 5 dungeon chest (Patch 41+)
      • As a rare chance in a level 4 dungeon chest (Patch 41+)
    • Treasure Hunting
      • A common drop in level 6 treasure chests (Live!)
      • An uncommon drop in level 5 treasure chests (Live!)
    • Tradecraft / Bulk Orders
      • As a reward for completing upper level bulk order deeds. (Patch 41+)
    • Rougish Behavior
      • Attempting Ironman Ancient MIB's (Live!)
      • Stealing from other players. (Live!)
    • Player Activity - Monthly Vet Rewards
      • Players can earn platinum via our monthly veteran system. (Live!)

    Note: Platinum will never be sold by the staff or provided to players in exchange for donations.

    Statues earned from various events, capture the flag matches and tournaments can be traded in for the following amount of platinum. (1 Point = 1 Coin)

    Honestly, I think they should take two slots, but considering they are non-combative, probably just one. I don't think they took any slots on OSI, but I could be mistaken.

    Oh, also, that runebook dye is not the definitive hue selection, but merely a sample thrown together to demonstrate the tub possiblities.

    In regards to the carpet, I really think they should be dropped to 5p per unit. The cost to carpet a single small home would be 750p at the rate above.
    While I don't want things too cheap, I think that 125p to carpet a small is fair, wherein 750p is exhorbitant.

    runebook bless deeds will be great! I shall bless an entire library of pvp locations and key cut off locations for when the shard really takes off :) MUAAHAHAaaaa!!! :twisted:

    Decorative Cannon - Place a cannon in your house which can be fired, causing a spectacular explosion.
    Tree Stump - A stump from a cut-down tree, faces two directions, with and without an axe, and yields 10 random Logs a day.
    Sheep Statue – This statue will give 10 pieces of a random hide or wool each day, holding up to a maximum of 100 pieces


    Do the first two apply here and can we get the third?

    I like the runebook dye tub, however I think that some of the hues are far too out there, I think that the ore-colors from the furny tub would be perfect for runebook dye hues.

    Ethereal mounts are mounts that cannot be killed, when you dismount from them you get a little horse/llama/ostard "statue" in your backpack, when you double click this you will "cast" and summon your mount. The benefiet of this is that you cannot lose your mount as it is blessed, and as soon as you ress you can mount up.

    You can play around with these on test server.

    Those were just examples, the runebook dye tub shares the same palette as the leather dye tub.

    What is an ancient MIB? Is that different than a regular MIB?

    Historicaly they were special MIB's you fished up and when you found and fished up the location contained within you received a special chest, level 4 loot.

    However on Renaissance they are being worked into a custom spawnable boss event, where you fish up a ghost ship and its undead pirate captain and have to fight your way onboard to get the treasure.
