These weapons should not even be on this shard!! Renaissance not Age of Shadows.

    T2A was 98.

Sorry but I must have missed people running around with runic weps way back then!

Runics came with Factions, which came with Renaissance. If we didn't have runics, we couldn't have mages running around with 30+AR in any semblance of balance.

Apology accepted. Bottom line, they are era appropriate and not AoS

And you honestly think 30+ ar on a mage is a fair balance to a vally war fork?
Remind me what runic sewing kits were for as they don't seem to be here.

Runic sewing kits came later, along with the elemental damage changes, as a way of making elemental armor

Surely runic sewing kits were designed to coincide with runic weps? I don't know exact dates but from what I remember they were the same era LBR to AOS

Runic Sewing kits definitely came later than runic hammers... and don't call me Shirley !

So do any of you vets know why runic sewing kits have not been enabled here? Shirley they are part and parcel of the whole runic thing.

@Dalavar after months of being on this shard your sig picture still makes me grin :) did you make it yourself or plagerise it?

Runic sewing kits don't belong in this time. They only ever created elemental armor, so they would have to be changed to be like hammers, adding magic properties. Armor is already well balanced having the material bonus, we don't need invuln barbed leather

@Roguish Can you remember the first time you saw a valorite weapon in game(OSI)?

@CaptainMorgan sorry mate but that's bs, if the armour was balanced then you wouldn't be selling this +13 damage one handed weapon for 1.5 million now would you! How much is a barbed leather suit 500-1500 gp per set?

First of all, I'm not selling it (although, I did craft and sell it the first time). Second, it's about the rarity. Do you have any clue how hard it is to assemble a valorite runic hammer? The shard is almost 3 years old and we just got the 4th valorite hammer ever. Barbed leather is super easy to farm by the hundreds.

The difference in rarity is why agapite weapons, just 2 damage lower than valorite, sell for a mere 35k.

@CaptainMorgan I bow down to your vastly superior knowledge of the whole bod system. Yet I still don't agree that these weapons are balanced with a barbed leather suit. We all know that plain leather was utter shit back then and now.
I just hope they remain as rare for a few more years.

It would be interesting to know when the first vally hammer was pulled on OSI. I've tried a quick net search but just found dead ends.

Well for what it's worth you'll only see these on ctf and tournaments. No one will take a valorite weapon into the field (aside from elhorno who did so as a sort of event once). I would pay double this price for a faction blessed Val spear, that'd be the best 3 weeks ever!
