Hello all. Which swordmanship weapon does the most damage?

Many variables need to be taken into consideration here, what's your Dex and do you have GM tactics and anatomy too? And do you have lumberjacking?

I have a LJ'er with GM tactics, anat and swords, 100 Dex, and I wear studded armour with no Dex loss, if I swing an executioners axe with a +25 tactics modifier I can often swing for 45+ HP consistently.

    I also chug Dex pots.

You're better off sparring with a second account or a friend if you want to gm the lazy way.

The basic answer to your question does not imply anything situational except... of all the "swordsmanship" weapons, which is most damaging?

    katana

    now an if...
    If
the user is a grandmaster in lumberjacking...

    double axe

BUT, only by a little under 100 points of damage per minute aka 2 DPS

So UOR only requires the sparring characters to actively be sparring to gain skill... I am used to this from other freeshards if so. I always hated the old way of only gaining if sparring a higher level character which required you to play up a spar master... or have established friends.

Not for swordsmanship, but yes for tactics.

Your sparring partner should have a weapon skill of around 30. Else you wont GM.
