Parry Dexxer Ironman attempt - lvl7 Tmap

Hi all, funny video here of my "attempt" at doing a lvl7 Tmap with a parry dexxer! Was this a good idea, probably not, but I still had fun with it! Feel free to watch, laugh, and maybe even learn something

Great video! Two things this video points out which I love;

1. Parry is broke

2. Plate armor needs a boost...I had no idea it was only a 3? armor difference from bone!!...but it is repairable via smith deed.

@Bayara put a lot of effort into parry and plate armour research early this year and I'm sure has lots of info to share.

Parry is...OK, but not great. I use it when I need that extra little bit of damage mitigation

Plate is terrible

So parry could use some love yes, but that was not the issue in this zone. If you look at the video here (time 22:22) you will see my parry negating almost all damage from the minion mob. Immediately after though, the boss uses some form of melee attack that seems to ignore both parry and armor.



Also, I think we all agree that plate armor is next to useless when -17 dex = +3 armor over full bone lol!

I would make sure you have hot keys for your potion drinks especially cure and heal...it even takes your shield on and off when you drink them, also having your bandage timer in your UO status bar makes all the difference you should try it.

Is there a razor option for this, or how is it done?

of course there is sir. Let me show you how...one sec.

{bandage} needs to be put in under the Title Bar Display box under the Display/Counters Tab. These are what i have in mine

UO - {ar} {crimtime}- {bandage} {bp} {bm} {gl} {gs} {mr} {ns} {ss} {sa} {heal} {cure} {(str)} {(dex)} {(ref)} {(exp)} {aids} {arw} {weight}/{maxweight} {mana} {(gold)} {(plat)}

ar = how much armor I have on

crimtime= counts up to 120 so you know how much longer you are grey for or until you can recall out after flagging someone

bandage is the timer. depends on how high your dex is but mine applys at 11 seconds

rest is potions and regs.

I added the weight vs. how much weight i can carry so dont get over weight on loot or at IDOCs.

Gold and Plat I added so I know if a plat coin pops in my pouch with out my forgetting about it or not seeing it.

Then under the more options tab check the auto un/re equip hands for potions.

i have mine set for 1 cure, 2 heal, 3 refresh and a macro button for drink a greater strength then greater agility, then refresh potion then apply band aid. so you just hit one button before battle or when you are pvping.

Oh I know, I just can't decide if it would be easier to use an old character or delete one and start fresh. Seems I only have dragon's den maps. I don't know if it would be possible to Ironman those! Might have to get @Keza to tag along on one of those for sure!
