I heard the tower was placed with GM assistance.
You might be able to get help getting it replaced if the staff likes you enough. Mes and I had to wait months to get out test moat down though, so buyer beware. I wouldn't buy it unless I was comfortable with the idea of it never being a tower.

Ya, I bid the 7 million sb with knowing that it would be a marble. If it was for sure a tower, I would definitely go higher.

It is also the reason Bart's Trinsic Tower can never be replaced

I have been told by Telamon that this was placed normally but after patch 48 it was made impossible to place a tower again. I was also told that there are plans for a patch that will change house placement rules which will make placing a tower on this island possible again without DM assistance. Still, as napo said, the only large houses available for placement immediately are large marble, large patio/smithy, or L shape.
