Trying to get more involved in the PvP scene here on UOR. Ive done some mild PKing, and I dont mind going red but I honestly dont think Im ready. Ill be in stat loss the first day Im quite sure. I need more practice and more work as well as at least 1 completed backup "alt" PvP ready character before I should do this. I have a completed 7x GM standard scribe/stun mage, with a tank/mage (fencer) in the works and near completion. I need alot of practice and work. Im fairly green to UO PvP although Im an avid/experienced FFA/Full loot PvP player from many games and prefer this type of play when available. Ive done some duels with a friend but honestly thats not the same, and I hate the fact that you cant use mounts or pots in the duel pits. Maybe you can (?) but when my bud set up the duels it didnt appear so. Its also just so...artificial. Fine to plan hotkeys/test macros/etc but...its not real PvP experience IMO. Where can I get real PvP experience as quickly/as much as possible? Factions? Order/Chaos? If so, which faction or side of O/C would anyone who replies recommend? Not looking to turn this into a monkey-poo slinging fest. I dont care about the politics involved or who is upset with who about "shady" game tactics/yada/yada/yada. I just literally dont GAF about any of that so please stay on topic TY Any groups out there interested in taking a "greenie" in under their wing and showing me the ropes? My playtime is very high and I dont get butthhurt It takes me a lil while to learn and really understand the PvP systems/strategies (to my satisfaction anyhow) but typically once I do Im usually one of the "contenders" in most PvP games I play.
O/c is a joke since it allows blue healing. Factions is definitely the most raw pvp but I don't think you'll like it without a group and voice communication
PM me on irc if you want 1v1s, but I'd ask someone else if you want group fighting. Also, you can use pots in arenas with the proper settings.
