    Hi,

Created new bard, selected magery and resist as 50 each starters.

Can't find anywhere on forum that adequately advises on what to train on with circa 30 skill points in Provo. I tried on the frost troll and king scorpion in the zoo but left for 30 mins with no gains.

What monsters should I be provoking at this stage and what should I be doing thereafter please?

    thanks

Thank you for the very quick replies.

@DaBucs - thanks for linking that. The author of this guide didn't once mention the zoo, which must mean that there are better places to train up preliminary numbers until you get to like 80 which seems to be pirates.

    30ish: Lizardman onto Ratman/Harpy
    50ish: Troll onto Harpy
    65: Troll onto Troll
    80: Pirates

Provo is super easy and fast to GM.

I didn't mention the zoo because the pens in the Ocllo dungeon are just so convenient. Now if you are Young, then obviously you should use the pens as you can't leave Ocllo. If you are not Young, maybe the Zoo would be better as it is in guard range. But I've GM'ed provocation on 4 non-Young characters just fine at the pens.

My last two I did the following for non-Young status gains.. one just a few days ago:

    Bought from NPC into 30s.
Went to Moonglow Zoo via moongate with 10 NPC store bought instruments.
Trained up to mid 60s on Stone Troll v/s Harpy (use Mongbat in hedge v/s Bull if too low for Troll till you get high enough)
Then went to Ocllo Bard training house by bridge with 8 GM tamborines bought on Ocllo moongate player vendors.
Macroed to GM on Sailors brought over from NPC Pirate fort.

Whole process took 2 days of macroing between Zoo apocalypses and Sailors despawning.. and issues with elves...

Zoopocalypses occur it seems when someone turns in a dragon to the Zoo Quest vendor and he places them into the Zoo... they aggro and kill you. So you simply say "guard" and the guards come and KILL EVERYTHING (except the llama). You then have to wait about 20 minutes for it all to respawn.
Solution... take the "if health <# say "guards"" out of macro and pray no one turns in a dragon quest animal when you are there (ie. just check on character every once in a while so you can ress, restock, and restart).

Sailors despawn in 24h I hear. So you need to periodically check your Ocllo bard house macroing to make sure they are still there. If one or more are gone then get a magery character to go across bridge and follow S coast to the W until you hit the Pirate fort. Get a Sailor keyed on you and lead him back to bard house. Now go over stools into one of the stall precasting recall as you enter front door. Now target rune locked down on table between "stalls" and you will pop out front of the house. Rinse and repeat for second. If someone is macroing and you have to push through (or if you want to put another Sailor in an occupied stall) simply create some food or bring a refresh potion.
