I use to play this game compulsively back in the day. And during that time as I'm sure you all remember thy wonderful AIM (choir of angels singing and lighting effects now) but I assume that is no longer the case. So what is the go to one now?

There are various applications that can connect to and use IRC services. Trillian has an IRC function as well I think. Most use mIRC (I never liked the interface) and I personally use X-Chat. It was $20 after the 30 day trial but I use it on all my computers and it works great so it was worth it in my opinion.
No worries. I'd probably just tell you how if I ran an Android. I'm an iPhone nerd and rarely IRC from my phone.
If you open the link to irc on the main page, it will even open it in a browser window. No software needed.
Ya but I would prefer to use my tablet cause my comp runs slow if I'm doing to much. But at least it runs UO like a champ.
