No offense, but why make a starting bid that isn't acceptable? Why not just S/B 2m? Serious question, I see this sometimes and it confuses me.

because last time i did a high starting bid like that everyone whined that it was too high, and a lower starting bid seems to draw in more attention

I have no disagreement with how you have this set up. Yes the starting bid you put is lower than what you want however you stated that you do in fact have a reserve so anyone putting in a SB knows that you may not accept that in the end.

I think people need to stay away from reserves altogether. Either sell the item at a price you're willing to accept or start an auction in hopes of getting more than expected.
IMO reserves just disguise sales as auctions in an attempt to get more attention.
Anyways, I think this statue is probably the coolest one out there and can be used with many different types of decor. Good luck with the "auction!"
