Hello Renaissance! I have played for a while on a few of the other established shards (one of them around the same level of population as Renaissance) but I have never played this server. How is this server overall? How are the people? The PvP? PvM? How friendly for new players? Is taming a good choice here? Sorry for all the newb questions but its hard deciding to start over again. Thanks for all the help!
I started here with the goal of just buying a house and then bailing for League of Legends and some other more modern games. I'm still here 2 and a half years later. People are great. Maybe too polite. Most reds here rez and don't loot, even. There is a faction scene. Some bitter rivalries there. PvM has some events unique to UOR. There are leaderboards for monster kills as well. Taming is very potent, many would say overpowered. Can't go wrong with it.

Good here? It's the epitome of the term, "face roll". Welcome to UO:R... take it out for a test drive and try out the [young status as well as the city of Ocllo. There's much fun to be had here. Plenty to go around.
I moved here from a server several players here came from even after being pretty well established there, and after two years (off and on due to rl stuff) and don't regret it one bit.
Give the shard a try! I guarantee you won't be disappointed. The players and staff here are top notch.
1) Great! 2) Good. 3) I wouldn't know, but we have Order/Chaos, Factions, and good ol fashion Felucca PK'ing. 4) Love it! UOR has boss monsters, champion spawns, fishing instances, etc. 5) Very. Multiple guilds/groups dedicated to helping new comers, whether new to server or game altogether. 6) Taming is always a good choice. Great money maker, but so many other ways to play so you won't get bored. Welcome!
